LAST MEMO OF The YEAR. 

 

Beach Day - Friday, June11, from 11am -2pm
Fun Games; Lunch provided by the PTO; hotdogs,
hamburgers, dessert.  Come to school dressed in shorts
and tops (appropriate for school, no bathing suits);
bring a blanket or towel to sit on and plan to have a
great time !!!!!

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16, IS OFFICIALLY THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR GRADES 1-7. THERE IS EARLY DISMISSAL AT 11:00AM.

Grades K1, K Last Day Is MONDAY, JUNE 14.

Everyone be sure to have a happy, relaxed, fun filled summer so we can all be ready for a successful 2010-2011 school year!


From the Student Council:

v     Crazy Outfit Day will be Tuesday, June 8th. There will be a prize for the craziest outfit in the K1-2nd grades, 3rd-5th grades and 6th-7th grades. The winner in each group will receive a $10 Friendly’s gift card. There is NO charge for this dress down day.

v     Monday, June 14th is Flag Day. We will have some of our Boy Scouts take part in raising the American Flag in front of the Church. We will also be honoring our Nation and the those who serve in the Armed Forces of the United States.

Wednesday, June 9th at 1PM for a
Thank You Reception in your honor. 

There will be refreshments and a variety of songs, poems, etc. the children are planning for your entertainment!


Celebrate the Last Day of School at the Red Sox Game!

 It is time for our annual RED SOX FAN PACKAGE RAFFLE to benefit the HAS Fund.
This year’s raffle includes 2 tickets to the Red Sox/Arizona game on Wednesday, June 16,
7pm
Seats are located in Loge Box, Left Field, Sect. 31,
Box 161, Row KK, Seats 5 & 6 valued at $90/ea.  Your Fan Package also includes 2 youth Red Sox t-shirts, 2 Red Sox caps, and Red Sox plates, cups, napkins and decals all in a Red Sox cooler to complete your own Red Sox event. 

Check your child’s backpack for tickets and more information and return your purchased tickets and money to your teacher marked “Red Sox” by June 10.  Please make checks payable to the Saint Bridget School HAS Fund.

Raffle tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50 and the Drawing will be held on Beach Day, June 11.
Proceeds benefit the HAS Fund (Help-A-Student) which provides tuition assistance to families.

******FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE: PARENTS ARE ASKED TO PICK UP THEIR CHILD’S MEDICATIONS BY THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. NO MEDICATION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE CHILDREN TO BRING HOME.******

To any students leaving before the school year ends: Report Cards will be mailed home. They will not be available before the 16th of June.

BJ's "Fuel Your Fundraiser" - we are offering this program again this year due to the number of requests to make it available before summer.  The program benefits for new or renewed memberships include:  $10 off annual membership fee, free additional 3 months of membership, free second membership card, and BJ's will donate $5 of your membership fee to St Bridget School.  If you are renewing, it doesn't matter when you last renewed, they will add 15 months to your current expiration date.  Simply complete the application (see attachments) and return it to the school with payment (credit card or check payable to BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc) no later than June 11th.  Contact Person = Mary Ann Sager at masager5@yahoo.com or 508-872-4989.

A FOND FAREWELL: Father Peter Shen will celebrate a Mass of Farewell on Sunday, June 13th at 12 noon. A reception will follow in the School Hall. Father Shen begins his new assignment in Chinatown on Tuesday, June 1st. Please join us as we bid him farewell and assure him of our prayers and best wishes.

A Thank you from the Middle East:

On behalf of my family I would like to thank the teachers, staff and families of Saint Bridget School for their thoughts, prayers and packages as well the extra love and support you have shown, not only Mia, but my family as well. It has meant more than words can possibly say. I wish you all a safe and healthy summer and look forward to seeing you all when I return in Jan.

 Ahoy!  Come Sail the High Seas with Vacation Bible School.  We set sail August 2nd – 6th.  Cast off is at 9:00 and we return to port at 12:00, High Noon right here at St. Bridget School.

 The Registration form for campers is attached.   We are also looking for volunteers to help out as crew leaders and adult station leaders.    (We promise you won’t have to swab the deck.)  There is a separate registration form for the crew leader volunteers

“Go Green @ Your Library”
Go Green @Your Library, this year’s summer reading adventure
is coming to the Framingham Public Library.  Sign-up begins June 19 at both the main and the branch library.
Pick up a packet when you sign up to learn more about:
special programs for elementary aged children on Wednesday afternoons,
the ever popular guessing jar and trivia contests (with prizes!),
how to win a prize at the end of the summer as well as a special t-shirt just for participating,
and how to keep track of your reading online if you’re spending time away this summer.

TO ALL NEW VOLUNTEERS:  Classes on “Protecting God’s Children” will be held at St. Bridget School Thursday, Oct. 7th, 7pm and Saturday, Oct 9th, 9am. Please check the church bulletin as the fall approaches for more information. If you wish to attend when the time comes, you will have to call Maria Cole at the rectory (508-875-5959) to reserve a place. Thank You! This class and a CORI form must be obtained by anyone who intends to be involved with school functions for the next school year. A CORI has to be filled out each year; “Protecting God’s Children” has to be taken only once.
